VIP + Bar

Keep VIP service handoffs visible through the night

A room status is useful when the next person can tell what happened and what still needs attention. Use the operational record rather than a separate, untracked conversation.

Audience: Authorized venue managers, VIP hosts, and service teams with the relevant workspace access.

Procedure

  1. Review the room and table picture

VIP records distinguish Reserved, Seated, Ordered, Delivered, and Closed states. Start by checking the current record rather than assuming an earlier request has been completed.

  2. Confirm the handoff

Check the room, bottle line items, and service context available to your role. Keep the person responsible for the next action explicit in the team's operational process. A public demonstration changes sample state only; it is not a staff dispatch.

  3. Separate service from settlement

A delivery status is not proof of payment. Authorized teams must use the appropriate register and payment record for settlement. Do not treat a service acknowledgment as a completed card transaction.

  4. Review the close and exceptions

Review unresolved items with the manager before the handoff or close. Preserve the original financial record when a correction is needed; use the supported correction workflow instead of treating a revised service note as a replacement receipt.

Shift checklist

  • Confirm the correct room or table.
  • Review the status and line items your role can access.
  • Identify the next responsible person.
  • Verify settlement separately from delivery.
  • Leave unresolved items for manager review.

Boundaries

  • Financial details are role-restricted; a host's operational view is not the manager's financial view.
  • The public VIP demonstration uses fictional local state and cannot charge a guest, contact staff, or alter inventory.
  • No response-time or revenue improvement is promised by this guide.
